Peace Out OCM!

What up fam? My new companion, Sister Chance, is so good! We get along real well and we've been working really hard too! It's been a fun week.  Sister Chance is from South Jordan, UT! She is so fun. She can quote all of "The Master of Disguise" and "Matilda!" She has a lot of good ideas! We have cleaned out so much crap out of this apartment. It's little but it was so dirty. Now it's clean. Blessings!  We found a new person to teach named Tyler. He's pretty cool and he likes to draw. We are seeing him tonight. Hopefully all goes well!  Highlight of the week: WE WENT TO KIRTLAND!  For any of you who don't know, Kirtland is a historical site of the church. The early members of the church went and settled there for a while. They built the first temple of our time there and a lot of revelations and miracles happened there!  Last Saturday we loaded up with some of the YSA and traveled a few hours to Kirtland. We saw the Johnson Farm

A Letter from the President

This letter was received from President Brown  this week. We knew changes were happening and have anxiously been waiting to hear the news. Adri is excited to be part of the Michigan Detroit Mission. The work continues no matter what mission she is part of . We feel Michigan is lucky to have her.

New Things!

Hello! Transfer news! Sister Bullock is going home. She has worked hard and finished her mission with honor (so has Sister Winsor and Sister Archibald! I love them!). My new companion is Sister Chance. She has been serving as an STL in Warren for 4 transfers. That will be exciting for her to come here! I'm very excited!  This week has been great!  One great thing that happened was I got to go on exchanges with Sister Gutierrez. She is the bomb! I love her so much! I am so glad we were able to go on two exchanges together. She's gonna be in a different mission than me so I'm grateful we were able to spend time together. She's a friend for life!  A major highlight was Dan went to a baptism this week! The Toledo sisters had a baptism and it was wonderful. Ted was baptized and the Spirit was just so strong! I'm so grateful we were able to go. I love baptisms! Dan really enjoyed it. He liked the way it was organized and he said it felt powerful. He said he'

The Fireflies are Out!

Hellooooooo! It's officially summer time because we saw fireflies this week! What a blessing! This week was wonderful!  The best thing happened: WE PUT DAN OF DATE TO BE BAPTIZED! What a miracle! We've talked with Dan about baptism many a time and it's never really clicked with him, but on Saturday it did!  We took a young man from our ward named Parker (he just got his mission call to the Oakland/San Francisco Mission Tongan speaking! How cool huh??). We asked Dan how his reading and praying about the Book of Mormon had been and if he felt like he got an answer. He said he still wasn't sure. Parker starting talking about how sometimes to get answers from God we have to put in some effort and act of faith even if we're not completely sure. Dan thought about that and was like yeah that makes sense! He said he felt as though he had been pretty passive about getting an answer and that he wanted to take more action. We asked him what kind of actions he wanted to

Hello! This week has gone by fast! I know I say that every single week but it's because it's just getting faster. I wish it would slow down a little bit.. being a missionary is just so good! Good week! I don't have a ton of updates. We met with Dan with a member and taught the Word of Wisdom. That went well! He wants to give a talk in church and so we're trying to see if we can do that because he's not a member. He should just get baptized and then he can give however many talks he wants to! Dan is real cool though! I LOVE BEING A SISTER TRAINING LEADER!   It's just so much fun! We went to stake coordination   on Sunday   and were able to talk with the zone leaders and President and Sister Brown and President Hamilton afterward! It was so good! We talked about talking to everyone and Sister Bullock and I have really been implementing that. It has been so great! We've been able to talk to like 60 people already this week outside of tracting! What a
