Happy Memorial Day!

Image
Hola! First off, happy Memorial Day! And happy late birthday to Erin! And happy early birthday to Collin!  This week was really great! We taught Joan on Saturday! I don't know if I've told you about Joan but she is great! We were trying an old referral for a missionary visit named Jonah but when we knocked on the door Joan answered and was super confused because her name is similar to that and just a couple weeks before we knocked on her door one of her best friends (who is a member of the church) told her she needed to get a copy of the Book of Mormon and read it! So we talked to her about the Book of Mormon and set up a time to meet with her again. We taught her the restoration and she said she felt so good as we were sharing it. And then we came back this Saturday to clarify some things about the Book of Mormon and make sure she understood everything we shared with her. We brought Sister Cady (a member of the BG ward) with us and it was a really good lesson. Joan has h

Elder Snow and Meetings

Helloo! This week was full of lots of miracles and wonderfulness!  First things first, because it was the most exciting, yesterday we had zone conference with half of our mission! We all went up to the mission office and had the opportunity to hear from our mission leader (President and Sister Brown and the APs) and also the opportunity to learn from Elder Snow from the Quorum of the Seventy and his wife Sister Snow. It was so great! The Assistants talked to us about following the safeguards for using technology. And that was wonderful and informative and great! Sister Brown talked to us about being truly converted to the Gospel and how we can help other become truly converted as well. President Brown talked to us about something we've been talking about as a mission for a while now; creating a mission culture of miracles. It was really cool this time though because he talked about how we create that culture! He shared Matthew 22:36-39 (aka the two great commandments) which

A Few Things Have Happened

Hello mi familia!  This week was so fast I really can only remember a few things that happened. First off, TRANSFERS! No, I am not getting transferred and neither is Sister Bullock we're together for another 5 weeks! There are changes for the sisters I serve with here. The sister's area in Perrysburg is closing which means that we have to say goodbye to two of the best sisters ever! Sister Davis goes home on Thursday and Sister Hathaway is going to the Youngstown stake (I love that stake)! They're wonderful! We are sad to see them go! The St. Mary's sisters are staying the same. Yay for exchanges with Sister Pixton and Sister Gutierrez again.  We love them too! And the most bittersweet news of all is that Sister Warren is leaving to go to Akron. She will love it there. It's the best ward! But it's okay that she's leaving even though I will miss her SO much because SISTER GRIMNES IS COMING TO FREMONT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I get to serve with my baby again!

Busy Week! Be positive!

Hola mi familia!  This week went by so fast. It was so busy! I feel like we got nothing done but we did so much! It was a super good week too! First off, the weather in Ohio is wonderful again! It's warm and everything is green and bright and there are leaves on the trees and it makes me so happy! Its crazy because it's starting to look like it did when I first got to Ohio with Sister Reddish. Time flies! The weather has been wonderful! It's been humid and bright and sunny and I got sunburned and I am starting my watch tan line and it's all wonderful here in Ohio! We had exchanges this week with the Perrysburg sisters which means I was able to go with Sister Davis! She is my mission "sister" and I honestly love her so much. She goes home next week :( and that makes me so sad. She goes home with Sister Garvin and I've looked up to the both of them so much since the beginning of my mission. I don't feel like it's time for them to go hom

What up fam!? This week went really well.  My desire to do the Lord's word has just grown these past few weeks! It's been so great! I love missionary work!  I went on the best exchange ever. I WAS ABLE TO SPEND A WHOLE DAY BEING SISTER WARREN'S COMPANION!! We were companions in the MTC and it was so fun to be with her again! We were able to teach a lot of Restorations when we were tracting and it was so fun to talk back to the first time we taught the Restoration to our teacher Brother Britt and we had no idea what we were doing. lol. But we had so much fun! She's a great missionary and she makes things fun!  Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a great one! I gave a talk on loving God and others and that was good. It was warm and wonderful! I even got sung to!  Love yins! Hope you have a great week! Love, Sister Grant Ohio Cleveland is Life 1. Bowling Green has the cutest streets. The tress are really pretty b
