Lucien Was Baptized!

Hello fam!

 So this week has been amazing! So was last week too! We had district activity last week so I didn't have time to email. I'm alive and well! We went hammocking with the district and it was totes fun. Created a lot of unity.

So Ressee came to church this week!  It was so great! She cried and she loved it! But it was also kinda weird because Ressee is a very unique person and she was not feeling super good about Relief Society and she was "getting bad vibes" from the sister teaching the lesson. (For the record there was no bad vibes from her. Ressee just thinks everyone is out to get her). So she walked out of RS. We followed her and she just wandered for a minute and it was good. We walked around the temple and it was good. It was interesting though because she was making some comments in RS and here are some of them "these are not good people trust me I can tell." "She has a negative vibe." "I ain't gonna come back to church again" "uhhh uh. She evil.." We literally were so shocked but now Ressee is good and so is the ward and all is well it was definitely an interesting experience for sure!

On Saturday we went to a service project with the YSA in Detroit. There were so many bees but luckily Sister Bretz and I didn't get stung even though we were the ones to uncover their nest! 

BEST PART OF THE WHOLE ENTIRE WEEK!! LUCIEN WAS BAPTIZED AND CONFIRMED!! So I don't actually know if I've talked about Lucien but Sister Bretz and I have been teaching him for about 4 weeks. He was taught by Elder Winslow and Elder Aumen and they handed him off to us so he could go to the YSA. It's been a blessing to teach him! He's family! A great guy! He makes Sister Bretz and I laugh a lot! He has a solid testimony and it is awesome! He was baptized on Saturday and it was amazing. The happiest day ever! President and Sister Cleveland came. The elders were there. Another set of elders from our district were there so Elder Wells could sing and so many members of the YSA came too! He is so amazing!!!!

Also transfers are this week so I'll find out what's happening Tuesday! I hope to stay but I think I'm leaving. I'll talk to you on Monday!

Hey fam! This week went by crazy fast. Honestly, time just needs to slow down. I'm not quite ready to go home yet. Don't get me wrong. I'm excited to see all of you, but I'm really sad to be leaving. I'm trying to soak it all in while I can!  This week was a super one! We had exchanges and both Sister Bretz and her trainee, Sister Anderson, came to Roseville. It was so much fun! I was able to spend the whole day with Sister Anderson and she's awesome. I swear when I had been out for 3 weeks I said maybe like 3 words a day (okay maybe that's an exaggera tion). I was so nervous and it took me a super long time to get used to the missionary way, but Sister Anderson was bomb! She killed it the whole day! We studied the Plan of Salvation together. Wow. Loving the MTC and a Testimony

Dear Mom, Dad, Collin, Kenna, and Katy,  (letter written on Sunday, June 4th) Record Katy's setting apart! Then you can type it and send it to her. Sister Warren did that and I think it's a great idea. How is Katy? I honestly can't think about her leaving because it makes me wanna cry. I know that I had such a bad day (the second day only - every day has been better since) I'm worried about her. I know I shouldn't be and I'm trying not to, but it's hard not to! I've really learned to fully rely on the Lord. He has felt these exact same things we've felt. He will help us through them. We taught our first investigator (an MTC one) on Monday. I was terrified. We taught her the Restoration (which I have learned a lot about). Her name is Patty and she had a son that died. We shared with her some trials in our life and how we know God had helped us through. Best Exchange Ever

On an exchange with Sister Jenkins. The house of many children. It has been a really good week! Even though we kinda got dropped by Perry. That was sad, but we're trying to see what we can do.  We went on exchanges yesterday and IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! I was with Sister Jenkins again! It was her last exchange because she goes home and transfers are next week. It will be so sad to see her go. She was Sister Reddish's trainer so she is my grandma. She gave me an ugly floral shirt that she's worn throughout her mission and I feel so honored! But it was so fun to be with her. She is super great at talking to people and she is such a great example to me. We visited a lot of their less actives while I was there and we visited this one family who has 4 kids and then they take in their neighborhood kids - so so many kids were at their house while we were teaching about service!
