Happy Week! All is Well.

Sister Winsor and I after Trunk or Treat
Happy late Halloween! And HAPPY NOVEMBER! How is it already November!? Time flies!

I've had a very happy week :)

We had a trunk or treat and chili cook off with the ward and it was SO MUCH FUN! David came and he had a great time! We started the lessons over with him and will be seeing him tomorrow :) It was so much fun to be with the ward! Bishop Carl is the funniest man I've ever met in my life! He told us how he used to dress up in black and put a light in a pumpkin and scare his kids by running around in the dark with the glowing pumpkin doing the "Magic Pumpkin Dance." He is so hilarious!

The ward got some changes this week. Brother Betts and Sister Betts are leaving this week :( saddest news of my life.. But we're having dinner with them tomorrow so it's okay! But Brother Betts got released from the bishopric and Brother Houser got called to be in the Bishopric as the 1st Counselor which meant we needed a new ward clerk.. so Brother Richins got called to be the ward clerk! That mean's we'll be getting a new ward mission leader soon! Exciting stuff!

We have had some great lessons with Nikki this week! There have been some great miracles as well! She has struggled with addictions and she is clean now, but she says she has always struggled with urges to partake of those harmful things again, but she said after her blessing she hasn't had an urge since. Nikki has such strong faith! MIRACLE! We also taught her the Word of Wisdom this week. It's wasn't a planned lesson because we thought we were meeting with her husband James as well, but he didn't end up being home. It ended up being a great thing because Brother Thibideau was there and we were able to teach our lesson on the Word of Wisdom that we had planned for last week. She says she smoked 3 packs of cigarettes a day and the day after we taught that lesson we went back over to her house to set some goals and make plans for her to quite smoking and drinking coffee and she had only had 7 cigarettes in the whole day! How amazing is that! Keep her in your prayers! She can do this and really wants to and I know your prayers will help! She wants to be baptized so strongly and is willing to change her life to do so. We were talking and she was telling us how much happier she has felt since we started meeting with her, and I'll tell you what- we can see how much happier she is too. She told us she's so grateful that we came into her life. I'm so grateful she came into ours. She has shown me how the gospel of Jesus Christ can bless lives. I'm so grateful to see that in her!

We haven't been able to get a hold of Leon this week :( But we're not giving up!

Love you all so much!

Love, Sister Grant

Me smiling after a super happy week
