Ch- Ch - Changes!

What up fam?!

The OCM is good! Everyday is a good day! There isn't much giong on in the area at all... literally at all yet BUT we're trying! You pronounce Sister Grimnes's name Grim-ness like the Grim Brothers and "blow Nessy out of the water".. I can't remember all of that quote from Napoleon Dynamite... We're doing good! She's so fun! I LOVE HER SO MUCH! Thank you for the phone! I'm excited to see what changes it will bring!

This week has been full of changes.. well the past two weeks really! I think I already talked about some of them in previous emails, but I can't completely remember so you'll be getting some info again. We had an area boundary change and so we took in a lot more active members in the ward! It's been so great! We also changed apartments a couple of weeks ago. We swapped apartments with the Elders so we have made the apartment really cute now! Sister Grimnes's mom sent decorations so it's all decorated for Valentines day (also how in the world is January over already? TIME FLIES!)

We got a new bishopric here in the Akron Ward. BISHOP LEE! He's the coolest guy ever! We went to dinner at his fam's home and they are the best people! We're so glad that they're in our area now!

The biggest news came this week and with it is a huge change. We got a text Friday night from the assistants and were told that Saturday morning we were having a mission wide conference call. We called into it the next morning and President Brown started talking and he even started to cry. He talked about how there aren't as many missionaries coming into the field anymore and then he laid the news on us. The Ohio Cleveland Mission will be no more on July 1st of this year. It will be getting dissolved into the surrounding missions. Here in the OCM (aka the best mission in the whole world) we cover 5 stakes: the Toledo stake, Cleveland stake, Kirtland stake, Akron stake, and Youngstown stake. The Toledo stake will be taken into the Ohio Cincinnati Mission; the Cleveland, Kirtland, and Akron stakes will be taken into the Ohio Columbus Mission; and the Youngstown stake will be taken into the Pennsylvania Pittsburgh Mission. That was crazy news. I may or may not have cried lol. I'm actually still sad about it, but that's okay because I know it will be good and it is to help further the work.

Sister Brown talked after President Brown announced it and shared 3 Nephi 5:13. It reads, "13 Behold, am disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." Good stuff. Real good. Also I was reading in my studies that day and I came across this verse in Alma 57:27. It reads, "27 Now this was the faith of these of whom have spoken; they are young, and their minds are firmand they do put their trust in God continually." That is also good stuff. It's just what I needed to hear. Honestly was kind of upset that the OCM is shutting down but this week we studied "Called to Serve" by Elder Bednar from the April 2017 General Conference and I'm good now!

It's been a good week.. nothing too exciting.
Shout out to Kenn! Welcome home!
