Y-Town Round 4


Well I'm staying in Youngstown another 6 weeks, and I'm staying with Sister Winsor! It's good because the work has started to pick up! 

We have three on date for baptism and that is so exciting! We haven't been able to meet with Leon in a couple of weeks which is so sad, but we're meeting with him Thursday, with Brother Thibideau, and we're really gonna buckle down on him getting his answer about whether this is true or not. Hopefully it will all be well! Keep him in your prayers. We love him!

Shawnee is set on date for Decemeber 30th and we're excited for her to start progressing. She has a crazy life! But she is so sweet and we love her and her little daughter Jordan. Pray for them!

Nikki is set on date for December 16th!! She is so sincere and wants to learn and know if this is true. She is so sweet! Pray for her!

Well I thought I was leaving this week so I took a lot of pictures :) 

Anne is an investigator and she is so sweet! She is engaged to a member, but we didn't know who he was. This week when we went to Anne's we got to meet him. His name is Joe! We got Joe's records in the process of being transferred to the Youngstown Ward.

Sister Pander is a member but has health issues. She is so cute and I love her so much. We got scan pictures for her to put on Facebook and Family Search! 

Carl is the one who sang at the talent show. We love Carl! He's so cute!

THE BETTS! They are some of my favorite people ever! They're moving to Park City soon to do a mission at a camp up there. I LOVE THEM! They move the beginning of November and that will be one sad sad sad sad day :( Brother Betts makes a killer spaghetti sauce and he gave me the copy of the recipe because we thought I was gonna leave. It is SO GOOD! 

This work and this place and so great! And so is Sister Winsor!

Hey fam! This week went by crazy fast. Honestly, time just needs to slow down. I'm not quite ready to go home yet. Don't get me wrong. I'm excited to see all of you, but I'm really sad to be leaving. I'm trying to soak it all in while I can!  This week was a super one! We had exchanges and both Sister Bretz and her trainee, Sister Anderson, came to Roseville. It was so much fun! I was able to spend the whole day with Sister Anderson and she's awesome. I swear when I had been out for 3 weeks I said maybe like 3 words a day (okay maybe that's an exaggera tion). I was so nervous and it took me a super long time to get used to the missionary way, but Sister Anderson was bomb! She killed it the whole day! We studied the Plan of Salvation together. Wow. I love Heavenly Father so much! He loves so much. His plan for us to have joy and to return to Him with our families (aka the Plan of Salvation) is literally perfect. The Miracles Haven't Stopped!

Wow! What an amazing week Sister Pierce and I had! We have witnessed so many of the Lord's blessings! Tricia and Christian brought their friend Louy to church and we've started teaching him.  Christian knows the Book of Mormon is true!!!!!! I love those 3 people so much and all of their dogs! Adam came to church!! The ward LOVED him! He loved church! We taught him the Word of Wisdom and he threw away everything that would stop him from living it! He's been studying the Book of Mormon everyday and probably gets more out of his studies than I do!  We love Adam so much! (By we I mean all 7 missionaries serving in this ward!) We stand by the front doors and greet people before sacrament meeting starts every Sunday and when he walked through the church doors on Sunday, we all shouted, "ADAM!" at the same time! Loving the MTC and a Testimony

Dear Mom, Dad, Collin, Kenna, and Katy,  (letter written on Sunday, June 4th) Record Katy's setting apart! Then you can type it and send it to her. Sister Warren did that and I think it's a great idea. How is Katy? I honestly can't think about her leaving because it makes me wanna cry. I know that I had such a bad day (the second day only - every day has been better since) I'm worried about her. I know I shouldn't be and I'm trying not to, but it's hard not to! I've really learned to fully rely on the Lord. He has felt these exact same things we've felt. He will help us through them. We taught our first investigator (an MTC one) on Monday. I was terrified. We taught her the Restoration (which I have learned a lot about). Her name is Patty and she had a son that died. We shared with her some trials in our life and how we know God had helped us through.
