Adri Goes to Cleveland

Hey fam! So I don't think I mentioned this (partially because I forgot) but transfers were this past week. I have been transferred from Oakland Campus and here I am serving in Roseville! It's cool though for a few reasons: 1. I am still in the Bloomfield Hills zone so Sister Bretz is my STL (YAY!), 2. Elder Haderlie and Elder Chatwin are still my zls (YAY! We've become such good friends this past transfer also Garett knows Elder Chatwin's family!), 3. I ALREADY KNOW AND LOVE MY NEW COMPANION SISTER PIERCE, 4. I was literally here in this area like two weeks ago and I've already met some of the ward! I'm so excited to be here in Roseville! It's a great place! It kinda reminds me of Youngstown a little bit because there are homeless people all over. It's been fun to see that again. We have A LOT of stores and things in our area so we talk to a lot of people in stores and gas stations. I've had to break out of my shell a lot but it's cool b...

Hello! What a great week it has been! Let me tell you about it! So we have been talking to a ton of people everyday at Oakland University! It's such a great place to serve! People are always willing to talk once; the second time is the struggle but there are some elect people there. We are finding them!  I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE! I'm so grateful that we have a prophet on the earth today. I'm grateful for the priesthood and that it's been restored and is in our church. I'm grateful that Jesus Christ leads our church and is the source of all truth. I'm grateful that through Him we can change instantly; we can repent everyday. I'm so grateful to have been able to come to the Michigan Detroit Mission and learn about repentance, charity, and so much more. This week has been so good! Elder and Sister Dyches were awesome! I saw Jessica Rice twice! And I saw Sister Grimnes! And Sister Chance! And Elder Hawkins and Elder Skinner! Sister Rice and I laughed at the picture. She said something along the lines of , "I'm a monster!" and then she said, "I mean Iook like myself *zooms all the way into her chubby baby thighs* I mean these thighs are the same!" She is so funny! We have talked about recreating the picture! haha! We have it planned! We haven't gotten to show Pres. Cleve yet but That would be fun! I'm doing great! We had to drop Ressee (she's a progressing investigator who I might not have talked about because I haven't had much time to email.. also I haven't really written in my journal in quite some time... ooops). Hey Family, Preparation day is going good! We do it differently here on campus most weeks because well we are on campus. So we have split p-day and do half of it today (we started at 1:30) and then we will do a bit of it throughout the week and this evening and also Saturday. It's kinda crazy. But it's good!  Detroit is good. For food. Coney dogs are literally everywhere here! They are also kinda gross but they are literally everywhere! Also Ohio does this thing where they put chili on spaghetti noodles.. ? It's more of a central/ southern Ohio thing. Northern Ohio (especially Toledo) has a lot of corn! Also Vernor's gingerale is a MI thing! I think everything else is pretty normal to me!  We had missionary leadership council this week so I got to see Sister Rice! She's great!
