THEY ARE HERE!
We spoke with Adri this morning while she waited for her flight to depart. It was wonderful to hear her voice. So grateful she is happy. We tracked her flight's progress as it flew to Detroit and then on to Cleveland. Within a few minutes we received this reassuring e-mail:
Dear Missionary Parents,
This letter is to let you know your precious missionary arrived at the Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport at 3:00 pm EST this afternoon. All of the missionaries were met by President and Sister Brown and taken to the Mission Home for a warm welcome with a lovely dinner served within the hour, and then interviews with President Brown and medical interviews with Sister Brown and Sister Harvey, our medical coordinator. They will have a testimony meeting and then try to get a good night’s sleep to prepare for the amazing beginning of their mission service in the morning. After breakfast they will depart for Kirtland with a tour of the Kirtland Temple and a tour of the Kirtland Historic Site ending at the Newel K. Whitney Store…they will tell you about this WONDERFUL experience!!
There will be a picture taken with President and Sister Brown that you will receive within the next week or 10 days along with a letter giving you information regarding the first area and the first companion (Trainer Missionary). If you have any concerns or any questions, please call the Mission Office at 440-777-0042. Your missionary will be able to email you next week on Wednesday, Preparation Day, and give you the address to send letters or packages. The week of arriving and departing missionaries Preparation Day is on Tuesday, therefore, you will receive your first email next Wednesday on the regular Preparation Day.
We promise to love these wonderful young missionaries and take good care of them. Thanks for preparing them to serve and for sharing them with us.
Sister Rice,
Ohio Cleveland Mission Secretary
