Wonderful Week of Wonderfulness

What up fam!? This week was so great!!!  I was able to go on two exchanges this week and they were so much fun! We were able to see miracles and find people to teach in both of them (we found 5 new investigators yesterday!). I went on exchanges with Sister Denham Wednesday and Thursday and I went on exchanges with Sister Gutierrez   on Monday   and   Tuesday ! I had too much fun on both exchanges! I love getting to know the sisters and learning from them. This is the funnest thing ever! Sister Bullock and I were also able to do a service project with the YSA on Saturday. We volunteered together at BGSU (Bowling Green State University) to help Feed My Starving Children! It was so much fun and such a wonderful thing to do! We loved it! I love the YSA! It's full of some odd people but it's really fun and everyone is so accepting! We wore hair nets and we filled bags with rice, soy, vitamins, and veggies and then we sealed and packaged them. Each box we p...

Great Week!

Hello mi familia! This week has been great! We went to the temple last Wednesday and man, oh man, I LOVE THE TEMPLE! We did an endowment session and a bunch of initiatory sessions and it was so great. I just love the temple so much and the best things are inside that will help us be with Heavenly Father and our Savior and our families forever! There is nothing greater than that!  Also we did service at a member's farm and we found kittens there! They were sooooo cute! I died!  Also MLC (Missionary Leadership Counsel) was this week and that was bomb! It was so great to be able to counsel with all the leaders of the OCM! I was able to see so many people I loved too! What a blessing! Also it's super fun because we get to carpool with the zone leaders from the Toledo Stake. We all get to party it up in the mini van! That's what we drive. It turned 10,000 miles this week. It's so much fun! It was a blast, but it was weird being in a car with so many boys again!...

What up fam!? First things first, it is FLAT over here in northwest Ohio. Like this is the flattest place I've ever been. I swear I could literally see the curve of the earth if there weren't so many trees.  It has been fun to experience the change of scenery! The farther west you go in Ohio the flatter it gets and since I've been slowly moving west it's slowly been getting more flat.  This week has been so wonderful! It was hard to say goodbye to everyone in Akron and it was even harder to say goodbye to my baby, Sister Grimnes, but Bowling Green has been so fun and kind!  My new companion is named Sister Bullock. She is from La Verne, California and she is funny and a hard worker and so fun to be around! We've gotten along super well with each other!  This area is super fun because Sister Bullock and I are covering the Bowling Green Family ward and also we cover the Bowling Green Young Single Adult Branch! It isn't a huge ward and the YSA is lik...

What up fam? This week has been such a great week. It has been so spiritually uplifting I feel like I have been enough spiritually uplifted for 18 years, but that's not too much spiritual upliftation because you can never be too spiritually uplifted! General Conference was so filled with the Holy Ghost. Each and ever session gave me chills and tears because the Spirit was so strong. I especially felt God's love and a confirmation that we have modern day apostles and prophets during the Solemn Assembly. That was such a great experience and such a spiritual one. As I stood to sustain President Nelson I just get a reaffirming feeling that I know this is Christ's church restored to the earth. I'm so grateful to know that. I especially loved President Eyring's talk about the Holy Ghost. I've had lot's of questions about how I can better keep the Holy Ghost with me and his talk answered so many of them. Heavenly Father answers our prayers! He really, really...

What up fam? This week has been a good one! Here are some highlights! We were visiting some former investigators and we were able to start teaching a family! They have a little boy named Caleb. He's 11 and he's pretty solid. It's so great! He and his dad came to church this week and it was ward conference! It was such a blessing.  We've been working a lot on talking to people about family history and it's been great! We've been able to have some real success with some less active members we work with through doing family history with them. #SpiritofElijah   We stopped by Connie's this week with Sister Haslam (aka the bombest ward member ever). We hadn't been able to get in contact with her so we just stopped by and it turns out she has a cracked rib! Poor Connie! We love her so much! We were able to read some of the Book of Mormon with her and it was so great. We also went over another time this week and read with her.  Last pr...

It's All Downhill from Here

What up fam? This week was so great!  On Saturday we had a great opportunity to go to Cleveland for a mission conferece where we were all able to hear from Elder Christofferson from the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and Elder Neilson from the Seventy and it was so great! We talked about missionary work and hope and faith. Elder Christofferson talked a little and then he opened up time for us to ask him questions and I loved it! I didn't ask any but those who did asked great questions that I was really glad they asked. It was so wonderful and the Spirit was so strong! We also were able to take a picture with them and shake their hands. In case you wanted to know Elder Christofferson has the softest hands ever. Literally his hands were so soft. I wish I had some quotes or something that I liked from it but I do not.. I forgot my notes.. Sorry! But know that it was really good and the Spirit was so strong!  Also we were in Richfield this week and were able to go to...

I Don't Have a Title for This One

Hello familia! This week was a blur! It's been good though!  We taught Connie the restoration on Saturday. She is so sweet. She even made us cookies! To refresh your memories (because it's been a LONG time since we've seen Connie)... Connie was a referral for a large print Book of Mormon. Her granddaughter is a convert in the YSA branch here and is on a mission in the Idaho   Boise Mission. We're now teaching Connie the lessons because she wants to know what her granddaughter believes. We met with her like Sister Grimnes' first week in the field (aka like 6 or 7 weeks ago) and haven't been able to meet with her since, but we've talked on the phone a lot so that's good! But we were able to teach her the Restoration and that's my favorite lesson to teach. It's the best. So many blessings have come from the resoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm so grateful that I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet and was calle...
